I read a lot of them, under the guise of author research but it’s mainly just a whole lot of fun!

This story is lots of fun, as this rather hungry and sneaky snake follows class two around the zoo!

Ferdie and the Falling Leaves – Julia Rawlinson
Illustrated by Tiphanie Beeke. Published by Gullane Children’s Books
An enchanting story of friendship, in which Ferdie and her tree friend discover the seasonal changes of the tree and its surroundings.
Giddy Goat – Jamie Rix
Illustrated by Lynne Chapman. Published by Orchard Books
This is a lovely story about a goat finding his place in life and the friendship that he discovers along the way, beautifully illustrated by Lynne Chapman. 
Marvin’s Funny Dance – Sarah McConnell
Hodder Children’s Books 2008
A great story showing how a bit of individuality can be a good thing, as these meercats take on the bully buzzards with the invaluable help of Marvin Meer.
My Little Star – Janet Bingham
Illustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw. Published by Scholastic Children’s Books 2007
In this story, Little Fox ponders how high the sky really is? As he questions Daddy Fox he discovers that it goes on and on forever. This book is beautifully illustrated.
